Platform

Mission-critical software for sovereign action.

MKS builds and operates AI-assisted software for the Bundeswehr, public authorities and industry. On German and open-source technologies, designed for environments without an outside connection.

Starting point

Security-critical software takes too long and is used too rarely.

Long contracts, slow system integrators, results that miss the user. At the same time, data and requirements grow faster than classic procurement can deliver. We work differently: short iterations with the users, security considered from the start, and a platform that covers the recurring parts.

The MKS platform

Five capability fields. One foundation.

Our modular platform bundles what recurs in every project. Customers use platform modules and build only what their mission really needs. What that looks like in detail depends on the mission.

AI-assisted, across all fields

  1. 01

    AI-assisted development

Short iterations with the users, security by design, tests and traceability from the start. AI accelerates, engineers are accountable. Open-source models, inference in Germany.

  2. 02

    Data integration

Bring data from separate systems together without re-entering it: files, databases, interfaces, sensors. A data model that speaks the customer's terms.

  3. 03

    Data preparation and release

Classify, clean, enrich, synthesise. Check which data may be released for analysis and training. On request, post-train your own open-source models on that data.

  4. 04

    Analysis and visualisation

Find what matters in many reports: patterns, deviations, priorities. Presented traceably, so that people can decide.

  5. 05

    Delivery into disconnected networks

From development to operation in networks with no outside connection: reproducible builds, verified supply chain, continuous delivery to the edge. The bottleneck in many projects. Considered from the start with us.

Sovereign infrastructure: Germany, open source, disconnected networks

The platform accelerates. The human decides.

Why MKS

We know the environment, we have a platform, and we build our products on it.

01

We know the environment.

Procurement, accreditation, classified material, disconnected networks: we know what software has to meet here and build it in from the start.

02

We have a platform.

What recurs in every project is built: integration, preparation, analysis, delivery. Projects do not start from zero.

03

We build our products on it.

Relay and Nexus are built on the same platform. What proves itself there is available to other projects too.

04

Sovereign.

German and open-source technologies. Operation on sovereign infrastructure in Germany. Source code and design authority with the customer where they must hold it.

How we work

Three ways to work with us.

01

Products

Relay and Nexus are built on the platform and introduced and developed as products. If you have the use case, you get a product, not a project.

02

Operations

Continuous operation on sovereign infrastructure, with SLAs and user support. Further development alongside operations, if wanted.

03

Team on site

Our engineers work directly inside the customer's organisation: solving demanding problems together and building AI competence on site.

For whom

Anyone who needs digital results.

Commanders, agency leaders, operators and engineers who have to solve tasks digitally and have no time for procedural hurdles. Bundeswehr, NATO, security agencies and the industry that supplies them.

Origin

Born from Mission-K.

MKS grew out of the Mission-K network, where Space Command, industry and start-ups work on concrete challenges. The conversations there are where the need comes from that we build for: software that troops and industry can use when it counts. A small team from software, armed forces and industry, based at the Resilience Technology Campus Berlin.

Principles

What we measure ourselves by.

The human decides.

Systems detect, condense and propose. An authorised user decides, not the system.

The core stays sovereign.

Where the Bundeswehr or an authority must hold design authority and source code, they hold it there. MKS supplies the capability.

From practice, with the users.

Requirements come from operations. What we build is created with the people who will carry it.

Keep it narrow where possible.

Self-restraint keeps approval manageable and the commander in charge of the decision.
